Shelbourne – Special collaboration – JUMONJI WORKS x ab x Imagine Leather
2024年11月、埼玉県熊谷市の セレクトショップab にて開催されたポップアップイベントのために制作されたスペシャルコラボシューズ。
このプロジェクトは、マルチクリエイターの BARZ氏がJUMONJI WORKSのブーツを気に入り、「何か一緒に作ろう」と盛り上がったことから始まりました。カナダと日本での度重なるやり取りを経て、1年8ヵ月の歳月をかけてついに実現。
BARZ氏が最初に送ってきたデザインは、予想を遥かに超える独創的なもので、その圧倒的なアーティストの世界観に衝撃を受けました。このデザインを形にするため、カナダでパターンを作成し、日本でイマジンレザーが革にデザインのカービングを担当。その後カナダに戻し、縫製を経てアッパーを完成させ、一足の靴として仕上げました。
さらに、このコラボシューズはバーズ氏のニューアルバムのプロモーションも兼ねており、制作過程では彼の音楽を聴きながら作業を進めました。音楽とクラフトが融合した特別な一足を、ぜひご覧ください。

These special collaboration shoes were created for the pop-up event held in November 2024 at @ab_the_selectshop in Kumagaya, Saitama.
This project began when @barzbeatz a multi-creative artist, fell in love with JUMONJI WORKS boots and got excited about the idea of creating something together. After countless exchanges between Canada and Japan, we finally brought this project to life after 1 year and 8 months.
The first design Barz sent me was far beyond my expectations—truly unique and striking. I was completely captivated by his artistic vision. To turn this design into reality, I created the pattern in Canada, then sent it to Japan, where @imaginehiro6 cut the leather and hand-carved the design. The pieces were then returned to Canada, where I completed the stitching, constructed the upper, and finished the shoes.
Additionally, this collaboration serves as a promotion for Barz’s new album. The entire process was deeply fulfilling, working on these shoes while listening to his incredible music.

Shelbourne（シェルボーン）
JUMONJI WORKSを代表する短靴の一つで、初めて自分で履ける靴として誕生したモデルです。
この一足は、2011年に自分のデザインとパターンで作り上げた最初のサドルシューズであり、JUMONJI WORKSのスタートを象徴する重要なモデルです。当時、工房もなくシェアハウスのベースメントで夜な夜な手縫いで作業を進めていたことが、今でも鮮明に記憶に残っています。
Shelborneは、伝統的なサドルシューズのデザインに独自の感性を加え、羽根とバックステイの美しい曲線ラインにこだわって作り上げました。完成した時の喜びは今でも忘れられません。このシューズは、JUMONJI WORKSのクラフトマンシップと美しいデザインが詰まった、まさに代表作です。
